We are on our way to the beach for a fewdays of reconnecting with some great friends from Penn State. Jason and a group of 7 other guys dubbed themselves the “Eight Large Men” and covenanted to stay in each others’ lives during their senior year at PSU and every year they go away for a weekend to camp. This year, however, they decided it was time to bring their families together, so 19 of us are on our way to Ocean City, NJ, for a week together! There are 8 guys, 6 wives and 5 children, ironically who are all girls!!! We’re excited to have this time together and are praying for a time of being refreshed and catching up while experiencing new things together!
From Ocean City, we’ll be flying to Chicago for our STINT briefing! We are really excited for this time where our whole team for Australia will gather together to pray and prepare. All the teams going to the corners of the world will be together for a week and it’s sure to be an exciting time where the Lord meets us in a special way. Our team is unique, though, because we’re one of only 3 teams not leaving to go to our location directly from the briefing.
We are so grateful to be able to share that we are at 76% of our goal for support for STINT! The Lord is providing in awesome ways through generous people as we continue to walk by faith in this. We’re really hoping that we’ll be able to finish raising support so we can use our time in the fall semester to engage with ministry in Pittsburgh as we’re able.
