Welcome 2012!

2012 is here!! It’s unbelievable to think that this time last year we were in Melbourne and now we’re home in Pittsburgh and getting ready to have our baby girl! We spent Christmas with our families and had our annual conference, Radiate, between Christmas and New Years. At Radiate we also had our last time with our STINT team (the team of Americans we spent the year with in Australia) and talked about things we celebrate and what has been hard in the transition back to the US. We had a great chance to catch up with staff friends we haven’t seen since last year and have some great conversations with our supervisors. We also celebrated opening our first box of Jason’s published book, The Finishers!  It was an exciting moment for all of us who shared it, and he was even asked to sign a few copies.  It was on sale for students to purchase and we were excited that 4 boxes were sold while we were there!  It’s being unveiled at Christmas Conferences around the country this week and is available online at www.thefinishers.org.

We will be going into a time of raising support full-time before we transition back into leadership in Pittsburgh. We have about $1800/month to raise so we’d love your prayers for our time doing that. Support raising time is also great for personal development, so we’ll be reading books and doing some intentional things to help us develop as individuals and leaders.

Of course, we’re also awaiting Evie’s arrival too! Hannah is still very excited and asks almost every day when Evie will come out. She’s so excited to have a little sister. She started pre-school today and really loved it! She’s going to the school at the bottom of our street and already said how everyone is her friend! Here’s a picture of her and Jason when we got into the school. She’ll go for just a few hours in the morning a few times per week. We’re hoping it’ll be special for her as well as give me some special time with Evie once she arrives.
