Last week we went to an Emerging Leaders conference, where we connected with old friends and met some new friends from our region. We studied about living as a true son/daughter of God and not as an orphan. We also talked about ministering out of an overflow of our hearts and not just from the latest strategies - that the most important attribute of a leader is his/her heart and how he/she is connecting with the Lord. We were challenged to consider that, especially when it's easy to get in the habit of relying on strategies and moving away from complete dependence on the Lord. But Jesus showed up and worked in our lives as we processed some things with our friends and co-workers and we're excited for what He has for us! Thanks for sending us to this conference so we can be better equipped to reach every student with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ!!
